Day 2 & 3: Life Can Be So Hard

Olá, tudo bem?

(Learning Portuguese ATM to make my mum and grandma proud of me LOL)

So yes Life Can Be So Hard....Im sure most of you will agree. Nothing is easy, got to make so many sacrifices to get places...Got to work non-stop...I guess we all do this so that one day, just one day we can live a stress free-happy-ish life. But i just wish it just wasnt this hard. I know i have it so much better then so many people in the world. I have a car, roof over my head, food in my fridge i know that! and im very greatful.

Last night my husband and i got into a lil thingo over the phone! I guess its harder bcoz i cant see facials or emotions all i get is the voice over the phone uno? so i was (as usual) asking him about...how long are we gonna be in this situation for? are we ever gonna get out? are we going to still be there 5 yrs from now with 2 kids living in bunkbeds in the corner of our room haha of course it esculated to a mini fight, but i knew i was just hounding him for some sort of closure! but he just didnt know...we are in a "We Dont Know" world, where we literally dont know what will happen, where we will be, what we will be doing, how we will be doing. I guess im jealous of everyone! Im jealous of couples whether they are renting or have their own house...living on their own! living under their own rules...not everyone elses! Thats what we are....we dont get a say in things, we have no room. It comes to a point that when we (one day) do get our own joint...that we will be living as far away from these people as possible. Yes its sad, but i think we want to be far enough that they cant just spring up on us whenever they want, they will have to call before they come hahaha! we want freedom...FREEDOM!

Anyways, i havent had a very good week. Dont know whats wrong with me but the littlest of things bug me, been one of those months hahaha! This sunday my boss is taking us guys from work to Tangalooma on his boat! we are going snorkelling, so i think that will end my week well! And also my BABY is coming back FOREVER next thursday! So i guess from then on, everything will be ok...bcoz ill have him back! :)

Anyways enough from me today.

Happy Friday

Day 1: Deactivation

DAY 1: Deactivation

Howdyyy.

So last night i had enough! i had enough of the chocolate i was eating when i was "supposed to be on a diet". I had enough of friends, i had enough of family, had enough of myself. So this morning i woke up, came to work checked out facebook and

Deactivated It.

Why? Well it really takes up all my time haha plus i wanted to escape a lil bit from certain people! and uno its such a distraction! it probs wont last long but i was proud of myself to just do it! haha my husband thought i wouldnt do it! and then when i did he was like "you wont last a day". Challenge Accepted! 4.40hrs and counting!

I feel empty, which is so sad but uno what? as i sit here eating my "healthy" bean and tuna salad! I will have no excuse when i get home to run downstairs to my gym and do something! and while im at it, hide the chocolate all the wonderful people gave me for my birthday! haha im not happy with myself, i feel as if im falling down a very long and dark hole to "unhealthiness" and not fitting into clothes, refusing to go shopping for new ones bcoz u break down crying at "the size you have to buy now", refusing to meet up with people bcoz ur thinking about what they think of u
...enoughs enough CLAUDIA HANSEN! ENOUGH! stop making excuses...its low! and stupid! you wont go anywhere if you dont take a step.

So goodbye Facebook for a day or so hahaha! bring on super duper slim, healthy, determined and happy claudia.

i miss you

:)

HAPPY SUNDAY!
Ok Ok, Its been a while my followers, i do apoligize but i just have the same excuse again, work, work and more work! All my hard work has paid off i finally tho i got a pay rise which i am sooo soo HAPPY ABOUT! anyways back to why im here....lol

Today i took my lovely mother out for sushi and a movie! I dont do it often bcoz i feel as if i dont have enough time but you know what? we deserve it! We watched Sarah Jessica Parker's new movie "I Dont Know How She Does It". I actually really enjoyed it! I sat there thinking to myself...How does she do it? How can people do this? how hard would it be? I respect and take my hat off to every woman who is succesful  in their career and at home. I was in my own world driving home aswell thinking to myself  WOW when you think about it, we all juggle our lives!

I work 8-5 monday to friday 8-12 on a Saturday...Add on 30-45 mins of travel every morning and every afternoon to get to and from work. that leaves me what? 3 hrs each day which i do house cleaning, washing, cooking, preping for lunch, talking to my husband on the other side of QLD, Facebooking and catching up with friends and family! But uno compared to others this really is nothing uno i dont have children or anything! I guess im very surprised at myself for even doing this. Ive always been this very calm and laidback person that never thought id be a housewife haha! i really thought id be living at my parents house still at my age lol its funny when you grow up you think yoru going be here or there...doing this or doing that! But it never happens LOL

Anyways so Kate in "I Dont Know How She Does It" ..she was a very succesful business woman with two kids, she had to be a mother, a wife, she travelled all the time for work. Its amazing! Hat off to her (even tho its a movie) but im sure there are heaps of mothers like this. And maybe one day everything will turn out ok for me :) Having a career and a family i think are both important! But uno at the start of the movie she was all CAREER CAREER but at the end she realized that its all about the balance between the two. I think thats what is important about life...BALANCE! Without balance you fall.

So as people may know i do watch a couple shows, once i finish a series i try find a new one and at the moment im hooked on a show called"Parenthood". Its great! i guess i started watching it bcoz it has Lauren Graham in it and as most people know she was Loralai in "GILMORE GIRLS" which i absolutely LOVE LOL Its just about a 4 siblings who all have different lives and family situations. Adam, the successful business owner with a wife at home...a Daughter who is rebelling at 15 and a son who as aspergers, i dont know how many times ive cried at the struggle theyve had with max who as Aspergers (lol im a softy). Sarah who married a drug/alcoholic and had to kids...a daughter who is a rebel and a shy son, they ahd to move back to her parents house because she couldnt afford anything. Crosby (my fav haha) he is a studio recordest who is fun, vibrant and only found out he has a 5 yr old son. And Julia who is a sucessful career woman who works while her husband is the stay at home dad. I guess the movie we watched reminded me of Julie from Parenthood a lil. Shes trying to juggle the career and the family but struggles a bit. But uno even tho the movie and the tv show is really not reality...it could be! im sure whats happening with these families are happening to someone around the world.
I guess the movie inspired me a lil and im kinda probably not even making any sense but ahhhh welll what are blogs for?? haha LOL  Anyways im gonna enjoy the rest of my coffee and help prep for the lovely Sunday Roast my parents are cooking.

Hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday

Love,
Claudz

2nd of October

This time last year it was pouring down rain as i looked outside my hotel room patiently awaiting for 2pm when my limo was going to pick me up! i had every single one of my family and friends here in Brisbane all in the one building! That will never ever happen again....weddings are amazing! everyone who means the most to you is there in honor of you to celebrate one of the biggest days of your lives!!! A year ago i married my best friend, my soul mate, my dream come true. It went by so fast! And as each day that has gone past ive loved him more and more! I always think to myself..."How Did I Manage To Get Him???" there is so many ladies out there waiting for their Mr. Right and at age 19 i married mine. Ive never been able to be myself with just anyone but with him i am! He makes me a better person even though we are apart today, Distance between two hearts is not an obstacle; rather a great reminder of just how strong true love can be from now.

Until the end of time i will always love you William Hansen ♥

sorry bout my M.I.A saga lol

OLAAA.BONJOUR.HELLO.ALOHA

Soo i have been missing in action for a very long time haha i guess i do have a couple excuses...ive been really busy with work, husband being away for work and general life issues that just makes me not want to do anything but just come home from work, sit on the couch and become a TV series watching JUNKEE! and then i go to bed. Nothing else has really interested me i guess ive just been off with the fairies in my own lil world! But im not going to have a winge todayy bcoz ive had enough of those days soo today im just gonna randomly babble on haha

SOO William and I will be celebrating our  1 yr wedding anniversary in 5 days which is a VERY BIG DEAL! I really cant believe that this yr has flown by so fast! i remember the stress attacks and the excitement i had leading to our big day! it feels like yesterday it happened, i would love to have that day back! i would do it all again over and over again! but unfortunetly William got a new job out in Mt Isa as a Diamond Driller working in the mines and bcoz he has only just started he cant request dates off, so you have guessed it....for my 1 yr wedding anniversary i will be all alone :( but even tho it will be hard i just have to think...the sacrfice we are doing now will benefit whatever we want to do in the future. For Will and i all we want is to get our own house and live on our own as a "Real Married Couple" should do...circumstances at this moment cant allow us to live out on our own! But we will! we are very determined people and if we want something bad we will work sooo very hard for it!!!! And i tell you now William and I work VERY HARD! maybe a lil too hard for my liking hahahaha! its hard to really only have 1 day off a week :( but what can you do??? we have to work!!! and i guess we are working hard now bcoz one dayy yes i would LOVE to have children and when that day comes, i will be a stay at home mum! Im not a fan of leaving your new born child in childcare, i say this bcoz my mum works in childcare and for her...she really is bringing up these kids not their parents! But everyone'z circumstances are different, i just know when my time comes to become a parent i want to be hands on :) and when they are old enough to talk i will send them to childcare soooo at least if something happens they can tell me haha

anywayzzz enough of that! Since i have been venturing out in this world by myself lately i have turned to music for guidance and strength and it also fills in my time. My best friend atm is my acoustic guitar who i call Ashton LMFAO! Im definely a muso! ive done music since grade 5....i guess if i really wanted to i could learn any instrument, for some reason i pick up on it really quick! ive been playing trumpet since grade 5 played through ALL of HIGH SCHOOL! was in the Big Band and also Stage Band which was an all Brass band (kinda like jazz) i was in the choir aswell hahaha ahhh! let me just say High School was Very FULL ON lol i also was in the Music Major Class which i excelled in and even to this day my old music teacher uses my music as an example on what students should do (my brother is in her class hahaha) Im my own teacher i HATE someone teaching me something id rather do it own my own, ive taught myself how to play piano and guitar! And to be honest i find it so much more rewarding to know what i can do today is because i made the effort to do it myself!!! I often wonder what my life would be like if i went down the road of a music career or studied something in music, i wish i did sometimes bcoz i love it so much! But i chose the path of photography which is my passion aswell, maybe i should merge the two things i love and maybe photograph muscians hahaha! i wonder if Beyonce would kindly accept as being my first client?????
haha i better Keep Dreaming ;)

anyways as Charlie Chaplin would say

"You'll find that life is still worthwhile,
if you just SMILE"

Rest In Peace

I woke up this morning to horribal devasting news of a housefire in Kingston! where 11 people lost their lives in one of Queenlands Deadliest Fires. Even though I didn't know either of the families, this tragedy has touched me so deeply. I could not begin to comprehend the amount of pain their loved ones would be going though right now.

In my culture if something of great devastion happens, we pray! so if you are religious or not...please bow your head and say this prayer.

Dear Lord, Embrace those who have been tragically taken from their loved ones, welcome them with open arms, with love in your heart ♥ As they now embark on a new journey in heaven. Make your presence felt & help those that have been left behind, help them to overcome their grief & heartache; to mourn for their loved ones lost, but to also celebrate the life they were blessed to share ♥ - Amen

Today, there are 11 new angels lining outside the gates of Heaven.

Super Powerss

I Wish i Was a SUPERHEROO

SOOOOO i was watching foxtel at my folks house (i dont have it at my house wahhhh) and as you do, i flicked over to the disney channel (im such a child) and to my great excitment the INCREDIABLES was on...im a big sucker for animations and superheroes! And then when i got home that night there was a show called "No Ordinary Family"...Coincence or not! a movie and a tv show about super powerss! i thought to myself its a SIGN!!! but yeh no, i dont have super powers *tear*...Believe me i have thought about what my life would be like as a "Super Hero" or to have any sort of ability.
So as most of you would know, when it comes to superheroes they are just AWESOME!!! Superman, Spiderman, The Hulk, Batman, Iron Man and the list just doesnt end really.  I guess i go week at the knees for Superman tho...especially the guy who played him in the latest movie...YUM! Theres just something about a strong, flying man in tights haha i always ask william to dress up as Superman at dress up parties...he always refuses! maybe it is the tights?? and bcoz he doesnt have blue eyes *sad face* LOL LOL

& then theres The Incrediables, well  what can i say??? they are a family of superheroes! The mum is super flexable, the dad is super strong, the daughter has forcefields and can go invisable, one son is super fast and lil jackjack can transform into anything. I could watch this movie over and over again! If i could choose i would be the invisable one with forcefields bahaha! i have alot of things running thru my head atm of what i could do if i had them!!! *evil laugh*

But this new show..."No Ordinary Family" is actually pretty similar to the Incrediables just that its not cartoons...The mum is super fast, heals fast and fast metaboilism...the dad of course is super strong and can catch bullets (WOW) the daughter can read minds, and manipulate their thoughts and also see what they have seen by one touch (scary lol) and the son has a super brain which is totally cool! Im really loving it at the momentt!!! If i could choose i would totz be the mum!! fast speed and metabalism, i need that right now!! lol

So your probably thinkin WHYY THE EFFF! is this chickk talking about super powers...1. I love them 2.why the hell not and 3. well william just got a new job that requires him to leave me all by myself at home for 2 weeks sooo i guess i wish i had super powers that could either allow me to fly or run super fast, so i could see him whenever i want...Truth is! MOVIES, TV SHOWS and COMIC BOOKS suck!!!! You sit there as if the tv show or movie in front of u is actually a overview of a real family or person who can/or cannot to super human things! BOOO! fake merchandising hahaha! Now im gonna go try and buy me a Super Cool 3 world pass to MOVIEWORLD!! so i can feel as if im superman, with the superman ride...Feel like Batman, on the batman ride OR even take photos with them so i feel special haha

anywayss enough from me today!
Lotsaa Love

Opposites Attract!

If you need to make your torch work, well you have to put the Negative with the Positive which makes a spark and BAMMM the lighbulb workss! This is kind of my relationship. William and I are well, two TOTALLY completely DIFFERENT PEOPLE! but together our spark ignites and we just work!

What i hear alot of people sayy is, do opposites really attract?

Through my observations i think usually when it comes to personality, people seek partners with their same qualities but claim to want someone who is different or they may partially draw upon theories of romantic attraction rather than their true desires for a mate. I understand that, i guess before i met William i was looking for someone who has the same interests bcoz i thought that would work!

I Love RnB....He Loves Rock
Im not patient....He is
I Love watching Keeping Up With The Kardasians....He Loves Asian Cartoons
Id rather Cake....He rather a bucket of Fairy Floss
I get annoyed at people so easy....He is so Laid back, nothing bothers him
I love cuddles before bed....he is all claustrophobic on me at night lol

Ok the list could go WAY longer but its not the point. The point is i love how different we are, we are individuals! We have learnt to tolerate each others loves/hates! I hate it when he watches his Asian Cartoons (naruto, bleach) but he knows that and he watches it between 4pm-6pm when he is home and im still at work OR he puts headphones on so i dont hear it hahaha! In my car i have a CD specially for his music, so if he is driving and i see he is getting sick of my RnB i flick it over for him...sadly for me im actually taking a liking to it haha NOOO!

We work so well, because we make it work! He really does make me a better person for eg. when i see him all laid back and mellowed over a situation i think to myself...whyyy the EFF am i all worked up? and he isnt? lol so ive kind of mellowed down since ive been with him. But even though we are so different he never seizes to amaze me! William is probably the most nicest caring male ive ever met, and i consider myself extremely lucky to have even met him let alone marry him! Since ive been with him he has just made so much sacrifices to make our lives better.

1. He was in the army reserves when i met him....(he was so sexy in his army outfit lol) but he left, because he didnt ever want that chance that he might get sent away.
2. He travelled 90kms in a weekend (my mums house, to his) to just see me.
3. It was his best mates 21st and he stayed along side me instead because i had torn cartlidge in my ribcage.
4. Shortley after we got engaged he sold his beloved xr8 that he worked so hard to get, just so we can have abit extra money in our pockets to get ahead and also to pay for our wedding.
5. And now he is sarficing seeing his friends, family and me to work in the mines, so we can have a better future.

I truley am the luckest girl in the world. And i will contiue to be for the rest of my life

so to answer my question...do opposites really attract??? Yes, yes they do! each to their own of course...but i do truly believe in

Opposites Attract.

WINNING!

Quote of the Day:

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done.

Just Think...

Have you ever looked at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? Doesnt it make you wonder how many people have pictures of you or how many moments of other people's lives we've been in?

Were we part of someone's life when their dream came true, or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in, as if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise?

Just think,
you could be a big part of someone else's life, and not even know it.

Familia!

So i was on Facebook tthe other day and i joined this group called You Know Your Portuguese When.....and it listed 40 things. I laughed because pretty much all the dot points were so relevant to my life! So heres the story of my life in dot points haha

You Know Your Portugese When.

-You spent your entire childhood thinking what you ate for lunch was pronounced "sanweesha."
-You've experienced the phenomena of 150 people fitting into 50 square feet of yard during a family gathering.
-You were surprised to discover that people eat only three meals a day, not seven.
-You were as tall as your grandmother by the age of seven.
-You ate your salad after the main course
-You thought every meal had to be eaten with a hunk of bread in your left hand.
-You drank wine before you were a teenager
-Your grandparent's furniture was as comfortable as sitting on plastic. Wait!!!! You were sitting on plastic.
-You called any pasta "shpargett"
-Every condition, ailment, misfortune, memory loss and accident was attributed to the fact that you didn't eat something.
-Your grandparent's furniture was as comfortable as sitting on plastic. Wait!!!! You were sitting on plastic

and my two most FAVOURITE dot points.

-You thought that talking loud was normal.
-Your mom's main hobby is cleaning

hahaha! it really made me Laugh out Loud.

So todays post is going to be focused on little bit of my family or familia as i like to call it :)  First off Im European, the only thing that makes me Australian is well i was born here haha! other than that...im all European! And love everything about it

My dad was born in Belguim, Brussels and my mum well she was born in Mozumbique, Africa BUT back then it was a Portuguese colony..so yup shes portuguese!..... So you guess it! my dad comes from the land of the BEST CHOCOLATE! (mm belgian chocolate)and well my mum comes from the land of the BEST FOOD EVER aka NANDOS but nando's aint got NOTHING on my Grandfathers "real portuguese style chicken" lol (TO DIE FOR)....We grew up with huge festivities, huge families and family friends well who are basically just family anyways and of course the FOOOD! the food is probably both a pro and con in my life, its a PRO because it is soooooo YUMMM but its a CON because i just eat way to much then i should eat haha. My brother and i have pretty much just taken on my mums nationality and call ourselves PORTUGUESE lol i dont speak it tho :( except for certain things (naughty words LOL) but i still say im portuguese haha!

Im very very LUCKY to have a great parents, they have always been so supportive and encouraging with everything ive decided to do with my life, they are just amazing. My little bro, well he isnt to bad haha nah he is good we do have our differences and because we are 6 yrs apart it was a pain in the arse growing up BUT now we have a cool relationship....  My mum is a perfect example of a European mother, instead of cooking a meal that will feed a family she cooks for a freaking army, i have not EVER witnessed a time when my mum cooks, that there wasnt leftovers, basically if we dont have leftovers somethings wrong! hahaha. Her excuse is, well if there isnt any leftovers your still HUNGRY! My grandma (mum's mum) is the same, my dad in fact blames my mum and grandma for eating to much and putting on weight haha and when i think about it..so do i!!! :P:P Now my dad is a chef too soo whoever cooks  w are gonna have a good meal lol.

I love learning about everyones different cultures and traditions, in our family we have quite alot of traditions, for eg. Most people open their presents early in the morning Christmas Day, and all celebrations are then too. Well for us we have this MASSIVE feast and all our celebrations Christmas Eve and open our presents right on the dot of MIDNIGHT, i used to love it when i was a kid, we would have someone dress up as Santa and all the adults would have bells (symbolising reindeers lol) haha good times! we dont do that much anymore bcoz we have no kids in the family anymore..one day ;) haha...but it is good because when we decide to have kids, its not going to be hard who is going to spend christmas day with who...its simple! Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Williams family...GENIUS! haha...We also have tradional foods we cook for different occasions...i love xmas in the Pollaert/Da Silva household! ♥ Also on new yrs we have 12 sultarna's on the lead up to the count-down (dont know why ive actually never asked but we always do it haha)

Now the reason ive decided to talk about my family is well my mum came back on the weeked from a 5 week holiday (jealous) from Portugal! I was looking through all her photos and of course i was also going though the massive amounts of stuff she brought back for my brother and i aswell haha! but the photos she took just made me sad bcoz i dont see my family often as they all live in Darwin. Now, my grandparents brought up my parents beautifully and now my parents have brought my brother and I up pretty much the same way...(minus being in Europe of course haha) so i thank them for making my parents so great! My Grandmother in Darwin (mum's mum) who i call Avó, is probably the best cook EVER in this world! i know, i know,  pretty much everyone says that about their grandmothers but im not lieing! she is the BEST! and lucky for me my mum is just like her and is the BEST COOK aswell!  I suppose im next in line haha goodluck to me! She is also the most caring, loving person i know and i love her with all my heart and i miss her everyday! And then theres my grandfather who i call Avô who is probably the most funniest person i know, and im his favourite Grandchild because we both support the same soccer team...Sporting Lisbon! (boo to all Benfica lovers lol) but he is also the infamous Portuguese Chicken Cooker....now when i first took William to Darwin he was abit scepticle..and i kept insisting..its the BEST! and he kind of didnt believe me until he tried it and yupp you guessed it...he admited it was the BEST!!
Now as for my Dads family well Grandmammy aka grummy for short lol (dad's mum) is the cutest grandma ever! she is also where i get my artistic side from ;) and also where i get my evilness from when i play cards! haha She sometimes thinks shes "hip" when she starts dancing after a bit too many drinks lol and makes the best ever cherry pie mmm...Grandpappy aka grumpy for short haha (he sometimes lives up to the name :P) is also mr. comedian! just like Avô, when they are together we are all it fits of laughter! Grumpy is the best! and i never ever see him without a "tea" (what he calls beer lol) in his hand.

To be honest with you this blog post just doesnt do justice of how wonderful my family is...im very greatful...ive always lived for family! and one day i will take on everything they have taught me and pass on all the traditions, stories and love to my lil family i have one day :)

Family is Forever.

diet schmiet!

ahh the word i hate
DIET!

Yep DIET or DIETING or "healthy eating"....im pretty sure everyones tried it, i can safely say im kind of "always on a diet" haha! I really should buckle down and loose those KGs but i always find myself saying "ill start on monday!" kinda over it to be honest...so just letting you know as of tonight (because im at work :P) im gonna actually act like im on a diet! and stick to it! BUT one thing i hate is the word DIET! its just so negative and annoying! so to keep myself motivated:

As of tonight im on a smaller portions per meal plan with a hell of alot of Cross Trainer workouts :)

and if i want something naughty, im just going to do it! lol In my opinion what i think makes people sidetracked from "dieting" is the whole..."you cant have what you want"...so when you have the opportunity to have a block of chocolate you do end up eating the whole lot! but if i "ALLOW" myself to have something once and a while and not feel bad...i think dieting might work!

Lets see how long this will last shall we? haha

I have dieted before though! so i do have that frame in mind deep down in me that i can actually do this...See i think im actually not BUILT to be skuinny, and to be honest im happy with that! i dont want to be skinny...i like curves! it makes me feel like a woman...but dang i think i haveabit to many curves atm if you know what i mean?? hahaha...anyways the first time i "dieted" was in high school i lost like 20kgs for my formal and then last yr i lost 12 KGs in 5 weeks, leading up to my (amazing, spectacular, beautiful) WEDDING :) i know right?? im such a trooper! Now since im turning 21 in a few months and have a couple weddings to attend...im going to do it again! im going to WOW people! Plus i love that feeling when you now you have lost weight and everyone notices....so they are all like "WOW you look amazing, youve lost weight" and you answer back "eww no i havent" but deep down your all like "ohhhhh yeh people notice!" hahaha i live for that...

so bring on DIETING! but unfortunetly i may have to wait till i get back from campin LMFAO hahaha...hot chocolates, eating all day bcoz your bored and who could forget....Marshmellows over a fire and im also going to try SCHMORES?? if thats how u spell it...chocolate coated biscuits with a melted marshemellow in between...ohh yes! :(

DARN-IT! this will be harder than i thought baha

yupp one less debt to worry about:) thank you TAXman! ahhh i cannot explain the relief/weight off my shoulders/HAPPINESS im feeling right now! it feels FANTASTIC!! im not a fan of credit cards but we did have a purpose in getting one (we actually have two LOL) BUT its SOLEY for furniture and stuff we bought for around the house! i am not one of those girls who wastes INCREDIABLE amounts of money on shoes, handbags and shit! not my thing...alot of guys have told me...thats why im married haha bcoz William doesnt have to worry about his wife spending money on shopping, to be honest with you im not a big fan on shopping (SHOCK HORROR)...and i can safely say my wonderful Husband spends more money than me (LOL). But for as long as i can remember i never was really a girly girl kind of person, sure i love getting dressed up and putting my make up on, but shopping endlessly spendings 100's on shoes...yeh NOT ME! i guess im like my dad in that way, im a saver not a spender!

Now for people who know me or have seen photos of me with my family, there is know lie...i look JUST LIKE MY (beautiful, wonderful) MUM, who i miss dearly! why i miss her? well shes been overseas in Portugal for the last 5 weeks and she comes back next friday.(so jealous!) Anyways back to the subject, i look like my mum but i have the personality and attitude like my dad. As for my lil brother he looks pretty similar to my dad when he was younger but is in EVERY WAY like my mum. Why im mentioning this, well im not sure to be honest haha im kind of just typing and going with the flow...i guess what im trying to say is that, there is a reason why i like to save...bcoz im like my dad! and yep my brother is like my mum, spends money on stuff he really doesnt need! see i really see no logic in spending money on something im only going to use once or a few times! for eg. My brother bought a PSP when he already had everything else he used it once and never touched in again.... i really think about something before i buy it!
Now back to the orginal topic, credit cards...i hate credit cards! (unless they are 50 months interest free, what a LIFESAVER! lol) Just a word of advice only get one if there is an actual reason and you know youll be on top of it, ive heard so many stories about peoples lives being RUINED because of a credit card...so think maturely, if you dont need one...dont get one?!

Moving on...

So my hubby and i have a kind of weird home arrangement...we own part of a house with his mum and sister (suggestion to everyone never buy a house with family!!!) and we cant get out of it! which is very stressful and i guess disapointing, and people just dont understand our situation! and i wouldnt be surprised if this situation is the reason i get annoyed so easily! its our house but its not our HOME..i dont know if that makes sense but a home to me is a sancuary where its yours and your happy to be there.....atm im in a house and the reason im here is well because we have to be! Plus you know when your get married you just want to be on your own and start a new journey by ourselves! we are physically stuck here! stupid economy!!!!! its way to hard to explain why we are stuck here but in simple form...its a buyers market, not a sellers and if we sell we loose 20k and owe the bank 20k soo yeh not gonna happen :( boo!

We have come along way though, we originally lived in the shed at the back, it was a small shed that was a bedroom, loung eroom, study and kitchen in one...one word: HORRIBAL! (probably being overdramatic haha)....then wills sister moved out so we moved up in the world...we got a room inside the actual house YAY lol...and now (bcoz of my wonderful mum in law :) ) we now have upstairs to ourselves..so i guess its a major improvement and kind of is like a little apartment! :)

All in all, william gets me through each and every day with just that one sentence..."everything will be ok?" hearing him say that to me is very comforting and soothing. I could not live my life without him..he is my everything!

Anywayss i think todays blog is just a big "BLAHHH" im letting things out! and it feels nice too!

untill next time kidz

Mi Vida Loca

my crazy life

Mi Vida Loca.
Meaning: My Crazy Life

YES! my crazy life. I sometimes feel as my life is out control and that i have no TIME FOR ANYTHING! I work, i sleep, i work again, i sleep. Probably sounds quite familiar right ?everyones life seems like that these days! aghhhhh! *rips hair out* lol I guess the only thing that keeps me sane is that i have a wonderful Husband who is waiting for me at home. I find myself very lucky, not many people my age (20 turning 21) are happily married with a home loan and a car loan...dont ask me how we do it but we do it alright, even if it means i work 6 days a week to do it lol

Now the other day i was reading my wonderful friend Joan's blog and she was talking about how people judge her for being a young mum. I know its totally differemt but it reminded me when i first got engaged, i rememeber being asked "why would u get married, your so young?" or "As if, your still so young, go PARTY" or "Your still a child", yepp i was judged for getting married young... I remember just thinking why the FUDGE do you even care? see i look at it this way, when you find that person you know DEEP DOWN you will grow old with, never ever seize the opportunity. Im just lucky enough to have found a guy who wanted to get married :) plus the moment my family met William, they pretty much loved him more than me haha

My Husband (still fresh so i love saying it haha) William and I met on RSVP...yes RSVP dating online hahaha! it makes us laugh too, dont ask me why i joined, i was only 17 and right out of High School, but i guess i did it to see all the cute guys in Brisbane :P On there you send people what they call 'KISSES'....its when a woman 'Virtual Kisses' someone and if the guy likes you they pay to email you back haha. You guessed it William paid to talk to me :P...after 3-4 months of talking on MSN and many "Wana go out?" from him...i finally took the opportunity and did it. Obviously i didnt go alone (he could of been a stalker/murderer/crazy man) i was ment to go with 3 of my friends but one bailed...and the 2 left were a couple so MAJOR AWKWARDness on my behalf, so i invited him to tag along...from that day onwards we have been inseparable ever since...
3.5 yrs together
almost a yr married

yepp I am a firm believer of....
Love At First Site

That moment you say "I DO" and have your first kiss as HUSBAND and WIFE...its probably the best moment in a couples life...i know it was for me..bcoz it was the start of a journey to our new life together.

"Our Moment"

No matter what age your are, if your in love .... Why the hell NOT! Marry Them! Never seize the opportunity. Many people told me the reason people judged me on being so young is because they're jealous, and you know they probably are, but no1 has the right to judge you on a decision you make on YOUR life. You are the Pilot of Your Life...and if your lucky enough you can find a sexy Co-Pilot like i have:P

anyways enough of my love filled blog, until next time.

the Claudia Journey Part4: Greece

Greece

The cultural and historical background of Greece has sprinkled the landscapes with ruins that span six thousand years. The alternating invaders, the peacefull settlers, and the country's position at the crossroads between east and west, have all left their mark on the Greek cultural landscape. Archaeological sites abound in the country side, and museums in cities protect priceless artifacts from antiquity. It would be an omission to visit Greece and leave without experiencing the ancient Greek culture; the culture that is credited with the birth of western civilization.

In Greece, you are in a crossroad of colors and cultures; you feel the strength of History and the warmth of the southern extremity of Europe and you discover the evolutionary course of thought, influence and experience.

the Greek Islands

The islands are the main characteristic of Greece’s morphology and an integral part of the country’s culture and tradition. Greek sovereign land includes 6,000 islands and islets scattered in the Aegean and Ionian Seas, of which only 227 islands are inhabited. This is a truly unique phenomenon for the European continent. The Greek Archipelago takes up 7,500 km of the country’s total 16,000 km coastline, offering a highly diversified landscape: beaches stretching over many kilometers, sheltered bays and coves, sandy beaches with sand-dunes, pebble beaches, coastal caves with steep rocks and dark colored sand typical of volcanic soil and coastal wetlands.

Athens

Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. Athens dominates the Attica periphery and it is one of the world's oldest cities, as its recorded history spans around 3,400 years. Classical Athens was a powerful city-state. A centre for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum,  it is widely referred to as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy, largely due to the impact of its cultural and political achievements during the 5th and 4th centuries BC on the rest of the then known European continent.

The Acropolis of Athens
What would a visit to Athens without going to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon. Why is the Parthenon so important?  well its because it was the most perfect building built by the world's most advanced civilization and even though we have been studying it for centuries we are still not sure how they did it.
The Parthenon and other main buildings on the Acropolis were built by Pericles in the fifth century BC as a monument to the cultural and political achievements of the inhabitants of Athens. The term acropolis means upper city and many of the city states of ancient Greece are built around an acropolis where the inhabitants can go as a place of refuge in times of invasion. It's for this reason that the most sacred buildings are usually on the acropolis. It's the safest most secure place in town. As little as 150 years ago there were still dwellings on the Acropolis of Athens. Those of you who have read Aristophanes will recall that in Lysistrata the women have Athens barricaded themselves in the fortress in protest, being tired of their men going to war against Sparta. Depriving them of sex, cooking and care it was a terrific strategy that might even work today.
The  Propylaia, entry to the  Acropolis, was built in 437-432 BCE, in alignment with the Parthenon.

The Erecthion
The Erecthion sits on the most sacred site of the Acropolis where Poseidon and Athena had their contest over who would be the Patron of the city. Poseidon thrust his trident into the rock and a spring burst forth, while Athena touched the ground with a spear and an olive tree grew. Athena was declared the victor and the great city of Athens was named for her while Poseidon was given a small village in Syros after it was discovered he had merely ruptured a water main. The building itself contains the porch of the maidens or Caryatids which are now copies, four of which have been placed in the Acropolis museum, hopefully to be reunited with a fifth taken from the Acropolis by Lord Elgin and put in the British Museum more than a century ago.
The temple as seen today was built between 421 BC and 407 BC, but it is believed to be a replacement for an older temple, since it is on the site of some of the most ancient and holy relics of the Athenians:

•the Palladion, which was a xoanon (wooden effigy) of Athena Polias (Protectress of the City) that fell from heaven according to myth

•the tomb of Cecrops
•the tomb of Erechtheus
•the marks of Poseidon's trident and the salt water well (the "salt sea") that resulted from Poseidon's strike, and
•the precincts of Herse, Pandrosus and Aglaurus (the three daughters of Cecrops) and of the tribal heroes Pandion and Boutes.

Parthenon
The Parthenon has stood atop the Acropolis of Athens for nearly 2,500 years and was built to give thanks to Athena, the city's patron goddess, for the salvation of Athens and Greece in the Persian Wars. The building was officially called the Temple of Athena the Virgin; "Parthenon" comes from the Greek word parthenos, "virgin."

Throughout its long life, the Parthenon has functioned most importantly as a Greek temple, but has also been a treasury, a fortress, a church, and a mosque. Today, it is one of the most recognizable icons and popular tourist attractions in the world.  Its construction began in 447 BC and was completed in 438 BC, although decorations of the Parthenon continued until 432 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece, generally considered to be the culmination of the development of the Doric order. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art. The Parthenon is regarded as an enduring symbol of Ancient Greece and of Athenian democracy and one of the world's greatest cultural monuments. It seems certain that the master planners of the Parthenon conceived it as a theatrical event.

The temple was constructed with the movements of the viewer in mind, and by the arrangement of the temple, the monumental sculptures of the pediment, and the detailed frieze, the emotions of the visitors were choreographed to prepare them for the ultimate glimpse of the majestic Athena Parthenos at the interior of the naos, and to maximize the effect of an awe inspiring visit.

Temple of Hephaest
The Temple of Hephaestus in central Athens, Greece, is the best-preserved ancient Greek temple in the world, but is far less well-known than its illustrious neighbour, the Parthenon. The temple is also known as the Hephaesteum and the Theseum, due to a belief current in Byzantine times that the bones of the legendary Greek hero Theseus were buried there; in fact the bones alleged to be those of Theseus were buried in the 5th century BC at another site nearer to the Acropolis.

Temple of Olympian Zeus, Athens
The Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion or Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a colossal ruined temple in the centre of the Greek capital Athens that was dedicated to Zeus, king of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants, who envisaged building the greatest temple in the ancient world, but it was not completed until the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD some 638 years after the project had begun. During the Roman periods it was renowned as the largest temple in Greece and housed one of the largest cult statues in the ancient world.

The temple's glory was short-lived, as it fell into disuse after being pillaged in a barbarian invasion in the 3rd century AD. It was probably never repaired and was reduced to ruins thereafter. In the centuries after the fall of the Roman Empire, the temple was extensively quarried for building materials to supply building projects elsewhere in the city. Despite this, substantial remains remain visible today and it continues to be a major tourist attraction.
